A gentle start

Even in the world's largest ski area, Les 3 Vallées, beginners have a choice. From comfort to safety, everything is tailored to their needs: Easy Rider beginner skipasses, fun and safe zones, personalised instruction, adapted slopes... there's no reason not to take the plunge. In Les Menuires, everything is optimised to help you progress and have fun at your own pace as you gain confidence on your skis.

The EASY RIDER label

With its pink colour code on the map (available from Tourist Offices and ski lift reception desks), is easily identifiable. One of the first slopes to be awarded the label in Les Menuires was the Montagnette.

Buying an EASY RIDER BEGINNER PASS

You can buy your pass online or in one of our sales outlets. Please note that it only covers a small number of ski lifts, and the amount of runs you need to progress in your own time. When you buy your pass, please make sure you ask for the beginner’s piste map.

EASY RIDER BEGINNER PASS Winter 2024-2025: 35€

With ‘Carré Neige Classique’ insurance, for just €3.30 a day, €19.80 for 6 days, €26.40 for 8 to 21 days or €49 for the season, you'll be covered for the cost of rescue on the slopes, reimbursement of lift passes* and ski lessons*, and repatriation/ambulance costs. What do you think?
* excess of €50, deducted once per claim

Top tips for starting out

  • Use the Easy Rider map to find out which runs are included in the beginners' pass.

  • Ask a professional for advice on choosing the right equipment for your level and size.

  • Always have the essential accessories with you: helmet, sunglasses (or goggles), sun cream, gloves, and ski clothing.

  • Check the weather forecast for the day before setting off and make sure you have the right clothing.

  • Dress in several layers, so you're not too hot or too cold.

  • Listen to yourself if you're tired. Say no to that one extra run, finish the slope you're on slowly or opt for a gondola descent if possible.

  • If you want to progress smoothly and learn the right techniques, book a lesson with one of the excellent ski schools.

Practice makes progress

If you can ski already, or if the EASY RIDER zone seems a bit small for you, we suggest you start exploring Les Menuires & Saint-Martin ski area, with the appropriate skipass.
